- I get migraines frequently. I know that your supposed to lay down in a dark quiet room, with everything off. Which I do, but almost everything the pain is so bad that I cant fall asleep. I take tylenol migraine medicine and I take a shower and these dont help either. I already have really really bad eyesight, its in the -600s and I wear contacts, and usually I can tell when a migraines coming because my eyesight changes to wear it seems like Im going blind. Its like I can only see what directly in front of me and everything thing else is fading away and white. And when Im typing on my phone I cant even see my thumbs. I have had severe migraines since the 7th grade and Im in the 9th now. Ive had to leave school early a few times because of these. Whats causes these migraines?!!?!?!

Tight neck muscles cause them. Your neck muscles go to the top of your head where they connect with muscles that go around your head. When the neck muscles get tight they pull on the muscles going around the head and when they go into pain you have your migraine. The nerves for your eyes go to the back of your head passing next to the neck muscles. When the neck muscles get tight they press into the nerves for the eyes to cause pains on the back of the eyes. More pressure caused the pupils to dilate to make you sensitive to light or to make things blurry. To get rid of the pains you will have to free up your neck muscles which should be done a few times for a few days to make sure they are all freed up and that they remain freed up. Heres how to free up the neck muscles to get rid of the migraine:
Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your neck. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. When your fingers and thumb touch, about two minutes, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.
With your neck in the lowered position, replace your thumbs in under the ears and your fingers behind your head but right next to your skull this time. Press your fingers and thumbs together again and hold. Relax your body while waiting. When the muscles have all released, slowly lift your head until its level again, release the pressure but hold your head like that for another 30 seconds.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

- Okay so right before I get a migraine, I dunno how to explain it but I get like a loss of vision/ half of my vision is like all weird. Is this Normal?
During a migraine I get nauseous and possibly vomit. Is there anyway to relieve me of this? What types of Medicine? I know I should rest. But are there any home remedies that dont require drugs?
Lastly, is there anyway to prevent a migraine from happening?

Go to your local health store and get yourself a bottle of Fever-Few. Its an herbal remedy that prevents migraines. You have to take it everyday, but I swear by this product that youll never have another migraine. You can also go to the doctor and ask for some Imitrex or Maxalt. My son has the injectable form of Imitrex but he hasnt had to use any medications for his migraines in over a year after he started taking Fever-Few, Hes 15 and was diagnosed at 5 with migraines.
